The section is mandated to provide:
- Assistance to the Department Head and Group Leaders in all matters of occupational safety, general safety, radiation protection and safety training.
- Assistance to CERN’s “Chef d’Installation” in matters of operational safety during operation and maintenance of all beam facilities at CERN, including the promotion, management and follow-up of operation and safety documents.
